Did you guys use the same old recirc. valves when you did your turbo upgrade ? Or did you install new OEM recirc. valves ? It seems like a small price to pay in order to protect your big investment ! instead of reusing 15 years old recirc. valves that could have a higher probability of failing due to age.Last time I checked my recirc. valves, I had a friend suck on the hoses after pulling them out of the plenum. Then I went to the front of the car to listen to the diaphragm moving in order to make sure that the valve is opening, and that it is not leaking by leaving my tongue on the hose to see if it is holding pressure. But I still feel safer with new valves. Is there any other way to verify they are in good working order? Yep I am contemplating a turbo upgrade project since it's been 2 years since my last project and I'm trying to decide on that particular issue. I’m not going to do anything fancy, most likely Sport-500 or 530.. BB to get a little bit more juice out of my Z.
